A last gasp goal from Deepak Rajput rescued a point for Aivao United as they drew 2-2 with Bhagwati Sports Club in GFA’s U-20 Second Division at Dr Remigio Pinto ground, Taleigao on Monday. Bhagwati led 2-0 at the lemon break. Amit Kunkonkar got Bhagwati’s campaign off to a great start, netting after only ten minutes.
Fifteen minutes later, Amit Shirvoykar doubled Bhagwati’s lead. Bhagwati seemed to be home and dry, but with the clock ticking down, Narendra Kunkolkar pounced to pull a goal back for Aivao in the 82nd minute. Moving into the fifth minute of injury time, Deepak Rajput hammered in to equalise for Aivao after a frantic end to proceedings.
In an U-18 Second Division encounter, Ave Maria thrashed Salcete Football Club 21-0 at Rosary ground, Navelim. Aliston D’Sousa scored a terrific brace of seven goals, Milton Alphonso four, Glen Abranches four, Anthony Fernandes three, Domnic Rodrigues two and Oliver D’Sousa one.
In a GFA U-20 First Division match, at Tilak Maidan grounds, Vasco, on Sunday, Salgaocar Sports Club and Sporting Clube de Goa drew 2-2, while at Poriat ground, Calangute, Dempo Sports Club defeated Goa Velha Sports Club 3-0.
