MAPUSA: Sangolda Lightning made their way into the semi-finals of the Aldona Cup 2011 organised by Quitula Sports Club with expense of neighbours Saligao Sporting Club following a 2-0 win at Quitula grounds, on Sunday.
Both goals came in the first session of play. Raymond Alvares got the opener in the eighth minute itself when he guided home a pass from Agnelo Quadros. Lloyed Mascarenhas then doubled the lead in the 22nd minute following a fine individual run.
