PANJIM: In round two of the quarterfinal league of the ongoing State Hockey Men’s Championship, organised by the Association for Control of Hockey in Goa, title contenders Calangute XI walloped Ponda Engineering College 7-0 at Don Bosco’s Oratory grounds, Panjim, on Saturday.
In the next round 2 quarterfinal league match between Margao XI and Gudi Rainbow Warriors, the Margao boys garnered full points by winning the encounter by a 3-0 margin. Hockey lovers may note that there will be no fixtures on 27th February, since most of the teams will be participating in the 3rd All Goa one-day tournament being held in Valpoi, Satari.
