PANJIM: Auxilium High School, Caranzalem, Loyola High School, Infant Jesus and Assagao Union booked their place in the semi-finals of Mahindra Youth Football Challenge (MYFC) Under-14 Schools Football Tournament-cum-Talent Hunt organised by Goa Football Association at Tilak Maidan, Vasco, on Tuesday.
In the first match of the day, Auxilium High School, Caranzalem got better of Don Bosco High School, Panjim 4-1 on penalties. Karan Shirodker, Prajat Mandal, Anish Gauns and Jesus Rodrigues converted for Auxilium while Dyane Britto scored for Don Bosco.
Loyola High School, Margao scored a solitary goal victory over Regina Mundi High School, Vasco. The winner was netted by Rufflen Fernandes. Infant Jesus High School scored a comfortable 2-0 victory Manovikas High School. Dylan Lourenco and Sneeden Rodrigues scored for winners. In the last match of the day, Assagao Union got the better of Holy Cross Convent, Siolim 3-2 on penalties. The match ended in a goalless draw. Tushar Mishra, Alton Nazareth and Pawan Dhargalkar scored for the winners while Sherwin Britto and Suheel Shirodker found the mark for losers.
Match results: Auxilium beat Don Bosco 4-1 (0-0). Loyola beat Regina Mundi 1-0. Infant Jesus beat Manovikas 2-0. Assagao beat Holy Cross 3-2 (0-0).
