PANJIM: St Andrew's Institute, Vasco scored a solitary goal victory over Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Cortalim to move into the second round of Mahindra Youth Football Challenge U-14 school football tournament-cum-talent hunt.
St Andrew's scored the all-important goal through Baptist Fernandes.
At Curtorim ground, Infant Jesus High School,Colva prevailed over Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda 5-4 via the tie-breaker. In the penalties, Dylan Lourenco, Keegan Menezes, Snayden Rodrigues, Steward Rodrigues and Joseph Pereira converted for Infant Jesus.
Don Bosco High School, Panjim earned a walkover as Ideal High School, Taleigao failed to turn up. The match between Holy Cross Convent, Siolim and Our Lady of Grace, Bicholim will be played tomorrow.
