AFC ‘B’ coaching certificate course

PANJIM: The GFA in a press release on Tuesday said that fast tracking to directly attend the AFC ‘B’ coaching certificate course (without AFC ‘C’ Certificate) is applicable to former national players who have at least played 20 Internationals for the senior national team in the competitions. Internationals (who are willing and committed to football coaching) are requested to submit their CV along with the certificates to GFA, to prove that they have played at least 20 internationals for consideration for upgradation.
Deserving cases will be sent to the All India Football Federation to be forwarded to the AFC for their verification and decision. Meanwhile, the All India Football Federation is approaching the AFC for the recognition of competence for coaches who worked in the last five years and will be working in the professional league. The AFC may give this provision only until 2012 to give such coaches time to obtain the necessary coaching qualifications by then. Willing coaches coming within the above criteria are requested to urgently submit their coaching credentials and CV to the GFA to be forwarded to the AIFF for evaluation and consideration for the recognition of competence.
