CHURCHILL BROTHERS BEAT MUMBAI FC 3-1

MARGAO: Kayne Vincent came off from the bench to score a brace to guide Churchill Brothers to an emphatic 3-1 victory over Mumbai FC in a round 18 encounter of I-League at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, here on Wednesday.
Churchill took the lead in the 16th minute through a penalty. Israil Gurung, who received a long ball on the right flank, was moving with the ball inside the box was brought down by rival keeper Ishan Debnath, who charged out to foil him, which earned him a yellow card from referee M B Santosh Kumar.
Odafe Okolie who took the spot-kick made no mistake in finding the net as he beat the keeper to his left with a deft placement.
Kayne Vincent, who replaced Odafe in the second half scored the second goal for Churchill in the 67th minute. Vincent ensured that Churchill garnered full points when he scored in the stoppage time off a pass from substitute Steven Dias.
Other results: Air-India beat ONGC 2-1; East Bengal beat JCT 3-0.
