MAPUSA: Peddem Bomm Sports Club recorded a fluent 3-1 win over St Savio’s Sports Club Calangute, to gain full points in the GFA’s Second Division League match played at Duler grounds on Friday. The Anjuna outfit were in control of the proceedings from the start and raced to a 2-0 lead at the break, courtesy of a double from winger Dominic Fernandes.
The youngster was in fine nick banging the rival nets in the 26th and 39th minute of play, with some cool finishes.
Calangute were expected to launch a fightback in the crossover, but their efforts were hampered as Clifford Fernandes made it 3-0 in favour of Peddem in the 61st minute. Calangute did pull a goal back in the 72nd minute through Sagar Bhatkande, however the damage had already been done by the Anjuna side.
