MAPUSA: Nagoa Sporting Club fought their way to a nervous 4-3 win via tie-breaker over Wilred Leisure, Curtorim to enter the quarter-finals of Benaulikar Memorial Soccer, organised by Nerul Sports Club at Nerul grounds, today.
With neither sides able to find the nets the match was forced into a penalty shoot-out where-in Nagoa scored through Gauresh Naik, Premnath Gadekar, Rajesh Pomburphakar and Riteh Narvekar, while Bruno Fernandes, Tommy Dias and Melvin Fernandes were successful for Curtorim. Bruno Fernandes of Curtorim was awarded the man of the match award.
