PANJIM: MES College, Zuari Nagar won the inter-college cricket championships, defeating GVM’s College by 11 runs in an exciting final played at University grounds.
Ashudeep Desai of PES College won the best all-rounder trophy, while Vishnu Kerkar of MES College received the best batsman trophy. Vikrant Prabhu of GVM’s College was adjudged the best bowler and Baddiuzama Sayed of MES College was adjudged the man of the match for his brilliant 32 runs in just 15 balls at a crucial stage.
Dr Desa JAE, Dean, Faculty of Natural Science, Goa University was the chief guest for the prize distribution who awarded trophies and medals to the winners. Mr PM Bhende, Principal of GVM’s College, Ponda was the guest of honour.
