MAPUSA: Nerul Sports Club made their way into the semi-finals of Aldona Cup 2011, organised by Quitula Sports Club after they got the better of Milagres Sports Club by a 2-1 margin at Quitula grounds, today. Nerul surged ahead in the 5th minute itself through a strike from Abdul Kader.
However their lead was cancelled out in the 28th minute as Alvito Fernandes guided home a Sebastian D’Costa free-kick. With the both teams desperate to find the match winner, it was Siddharth Shirodkar of Nerul who popped up to smash home a vital goal for Nerul.
