PANJIM: Bulcola Quadri thrashed Nagesh Naik 6-1, 6-1 to clinch men’ singles title at the all Goa Hotshots open tennis tournament held at Clube Tennis de Gasper Dias, Miramar on Saturday. In ladies singles finals, Aishwarya Nunes beat Raisa Mergulhao 6-1, 6-2 to take the top honours while in men’s doubles finals, the pair of Bulcola Quadri and Nagesh Naik were made to toil hard in three sets to overcome the stiff challenge from Steve Gomes and Newton. Bulcola and Nagesh finally romped home 6-1, 3-6, 6-0.
Siddharth Nunes emerged champion in the boys under-19 category as he beat Sidney Palha in straight sets 6-4, 6-0 while in the boys under-14 finals, Christian Cummings prevailed over Joshua D’Silva 6-0, 6-1.

Mr Manoj Caculo, president of Clube Tennis De Gaspar Dias and sports secretary, Mr Dinesh Sinari distributed the prizes.
Stephen Pereira, director of Lifestyle Sports and Hotshots Tennis Academy proposed the vote of thanks.
The tournament was sponsored by Astra Metals Group whereas the prizes were donated by Fomento Resources, Daud Electricals and Real Group of Companies.
