MARGAO: Paulwin D’Silva scored a hat-trick to give a huge 4-0 win to Cana Benaulim Sporting Association over Rossman Cruz, Nagoa Verna in the St Anthony’s Super Soccer tournament played at Directorate of Sports grounds, Colva on Friday.
Nelson Fernandes opened the account for Cana Benaulim in the very fourth minute and ten minutes later Paulwin D’Silva made it 2-0. Benaulim could have scored at least two more goals in the first half but their tries missed the mark narrowly.
In the second session, Paulwin again found the mark in the 9th minute. He then completed his hat-trick just a minute before the final hooter thus giving a big win for his team. Rossman Cruz tried their level best to reduce the margin but their efforts were not enough. Paulwin D’Silva was adjudged the man-of-the match.
